Note that I don’t do much vetting before listing a maker. I make no attempt to distinguish the exquisite from the mediocre. This is a discovery engine, not a recommendation engine.
Here are my criteria for listing a maker:
- Their toys are made of body-safe, non-porous materials.
- They’re not a giant manufacturer.
- Their toys should be fantasy-oriented.
- The Borderline Fantasy Silicone section is for makers whose toys don’t quite count as fantasy, but still have really cool shapes (e.g. SquarePeg) or colours (e.g. Funkit). If you’re looking for non-fantasy glass, wood, or ceramic makers, I have separate lists for them.

There’s a different list of fantasy toy makers at the Fantasy Toy Master List. Some of the blacklist entries are informative, but many are quibbling. The icons signifying what types of toys each maker offers are quite useful, though some are incomplete. If my list falls out of date, this can be a good place to discover new fantasy toy makers. Or you can feel free to copy my list and start your own.
